Wheel Lawsuit

A week ago I received a letter from New Jersey saying
that there is a class action lawsuit against Saab USA
pertaining to NG 900s and 9-3s with 16' and 17'
wheels. The plaintiffs allege that Saab did not
sufficiently warn them of the unique dangers of these
wheels, which were outfitted with low profile tires
(50s and 45s, respectively). Specifically, they claim
the tires are more subject to failure (blowouts).

I know that low-profile tires do not offer the
'protection' that a larger tire does, but I have had
no problems with rim damage or tire failure (1996 900,
~60K miles of suburban driving, 16' wheels with 50
series tires). I was curious: Are there any NG 900 /
9-3 owners out there with any bad experiences with
these tires or wheels (that they'd attribute to the
design)?
