One of life's ironies is that a relatively low mileage car will often need
exhaust work sooner (time wise) than a high mileage one due to condensation
inside the pipes.  Saab's *Replacement* exhaust parts are (or at least,
were) covered by a lifetime warranty, but the ones originally on the car
are not (case in point for replacing your exhaust on your brand new Saab
and selling the otherwise new 'take-offs' on TSN).  *Starla* brand
aftermarket are generally of the same quality and performance as Saab OE,
and usually priced lower.  'Performance' exhaust systems, sometimes made
from stainless steel, are available from companies such as SPG9,
Accelerated Response Motoring, or 'Abbott America'.  THese systems feature
lower back pressure for better performance and fuel economy, but they are
noisier.
