Removing Windshield Scratches

The inability to see at night is a safety issue. If you have fire and
theft insurance on your car, the replacement of the windshield is
covered by your insurance company. I have done this twice, and have
never been questioned. I just said I was having a hard time seeing at
night because of the windshield, and it was true. You only have to pay
the insurance deductible. Well worth the money for a new windshield.
Don't feel sorry for the insurance companies, as most have worked
arrangements with the glass installers whereby they pay a fixed price
for any and all windshields. I was told by the installers that the
figure that Erie Insurance was paying was around $270. If I payed $100,
Erie only had to pay $170. Not a bad deal.
