Passing Power

I'm thinking (just thinking) of trading my 99 9-5 4dr for a 2001 wagon.
In reviewing the specs it seems that the same exact power plant that
is rated at 170bhp in my '99 is rated at 185bhp in '01.

Not to doubt Saabs specs, but has anyone driven a 2001 2.3t and compared
it to the older revision of the engine? Is the power difference at all
noticeable? Passing headroom is the only place the car lacks sufficient
power. I'm curious if the 15bhp increase is of any practical value.

I am not talking about blowing past people on the highway at 100. Rather
I'm looking to pass on two lane roads traveling at 45-60mph.
