European Delivery

My family and I went to Sweden last March to take delivery on our 9-5
sedan. We had a wonderful time. Southern Sweden was just coming into
spring and northern Sweden was still a winter wonderland.

We had three Swedish au pairs when our children were smaller. We were able
to visit with two of them while we were there. This made the trip very
special and of course we got to see Sweden from the perspective of Swedes.
We spent time in Upsala, Alvsbyn, Stockholm, Gothenburg.

Our only disappointment during our 10 day visit was that there were no
factory tours available. Apparently even when the tours were running there
was a prohibition on children under the age of 12 for safety reasons. If
we had known this in advance we would have taken delivery in Stockholm
instead of Trollhatten. But staying over in Gothenburg at the Hotel Eggers
was actually quite nice and the breakfast smorgasbord was wonderful.

How can you go wrong? You get a decent discount on the car and options,
free tickets (we had to buy two kids tickets), a free night in Gothenburg
with dinner, transportation to the delivery center (which if you love Saabs
is a must see for the museum), and a very wonderful delivery process (we
received a Dalarma horse from Saab as a gift). Of course if you go in the
summer you have to pay your own way, but I think we may do that next time.

We would go back. In fact when our almost 10 year old Dodge Caravan gives
out I may replace it with a 9-5 wagon.

Enjoy. Remember YOLO! {*you only live once)

PS - We discovered that Saab chose to put a Cayenne 9-5 sedan in the museum
(just like ours!)
