Remove the two screws holding the left speaker and pop out the speaker
grill. Look in the hole while you turn the temp control. You'll see the rod
going to the heater valve one end or the other will be disconnected. To
reconnect, remove the radio and then the two long screws coming from under
the dash panel ( 20 Torx), one to the right of the steering column and the
other in the ashtray opening ( remove the ashtray). This will allow you to
pull the dash fascia away far enough to reposition the rod on the valve and
on the knob control without exerting pressure on either. Make sure the rod
stays put as you push the fascia back in and start the long screws.
