For some people that have a problem with the clutch.
In the '90s models with manual transmition, it is a problem not to have a
good clutch to change speeds.I've had the same problem- I searched the
matter and found out that above the clutch there is a pump which was
leaking, so I went to the dealer and had it changed. I was informed by the
people there (mechanics) that most problems of this kind appear from a
blown hose that connects the clutch to the transmittion and that the fluid
that the system operates withgets refilled from the brake-fluid container
which is separated internally in three compartments. The compartement that
gets empty do to clutch poroblem is the one closest to the wind-shield and
the fender of the car (far-right corner). A month later the clutch began
acting again and in matter of hours (half a day) not kilometers I could not
put a gear. The result: There is a pump inside the transmittion by the
clutch-plates so as you see the transimition has to come down in order to
repair the problem in which case you change the clutch-plates and you 're
good for another 150,000klms. Be aware that this problem happens especially
if the car is not used for periods of one month or so. Remember if they are
to take the transmittion down, they have to take apart the driver's front
wheel assembly out so there is a good chance for you to have them replace a
few robber parts since the labor cost is almost none at this point.
