I have a Da'Lan trailer hitch on my '86 9000T. Functionally, it is the
same as the expensive SAAB OEM unit, but costs only about $180. Rated for
2500lb-gross-weight/500lb-tongue-weight, with removable 3/4' receiver (I
think). Search the TSN archives for more details.

I used it four times for SERIOUS duty:

1. Towed home a Sonett on tow dolly 250 miles (about 2000lb).
2. Towed home a 900 with tow bar 600 miles with drive shafts removed
(about 3000lb).
3. Towed home a 9000 on tow dolly 650 miles (about 3500lb).
4. Towed a '66 96 stroker to storage on tow dolly 20 miles (about 2400lb).

Everything went smoothly.

Best regards,

David Prantl
