Fuel Pressure Regulators 3.0 vs 2.8 Bar

Well after my long ordeal, with engine, and 2 auto gearbox failures. I =
am glad to say that I am back on the road once again, all be it =
penniless. My 1988 9000 CDE 2.0T is running beautifully really smooth =
and powerful.

But, and there is always a but, I am suffering from a very small =
problem.=20

I have had a little problem for a while, My APC system picks up a little =
knocking when under full boost (approx.. 14PSI). I was about to order a =
3.0 Bar fuel pressure regulator, currently I'm running at 2.8 Bar. But =
before I do order it, I was wondering weather this would affect the tick =
over or general smoothness of the car, if it will, then I will not =
bother, because really she is ok as she is.

However, if I will not notice this small change, and it will improve my =
max boost performance, (I.e get rid of knocking) then I will buy it.=20

So there you go, my decision is in your hands. Please advise me of the =
pro's and con's on upgrading to 3.0 Bar from 2.8 Bar

TIA
