Okay folks, in case you haven't heard, we're going to be giving away a
freshly-restored 1989 SPG to one lucky attendee at the SOC02 this year! And
when I say 'freshly restored', I'm not kidding - it's in process right now,
torn completely apart in the garage of Master Rebuilder Tom Remedios in
Indianapolis. However, we still (and rather desperately) need some bits,
both fancy and not-so-fancy, to make this thing a real looker. Please go
here:
http://www.lacefield.com/saab/SPG%20Sponsor%20tracker%202-3.xls

and take a look at the list of parts we still need. If you or someone you
know would like to donate even one of these parts to the car, please contact
me at philno39sdcx6spamx782lacefield.com or Tom at tom.remediosno39sdcx6spamx782piusa.com immediately so we
can get it off the list and on the car! We need the parts marked with the *
as soon as possible since the engine is out, however the sooner the better
for everything. We may just have to buy some items in the end, but hopefully
not.

If you own a shop and would like to help out, Tom says: 'Bear in mind, that
as a sponsor, the SC02 planning group wishes to acknowledge and promote your
business at the convention. We will have several tables available at the
car to showcase your business and steer cash-laden Saabers in your
direction. So think of some type of a display about
your business and any convention specials. I will affix one window sticker
per sponsor on the car - so if you have one that's great. We are also
planning on some type of ad or acknowledgement in the convention program
book to point out all the sponsors. Finally, indicate the value of the parts
so I can approximate the rebuilt value of the car. Just for fun, I was
going to figure a labor rate of about $50/hour.'

Check those shelves and back corners of the shop, folks, and help make a
difference!

Thanks! - Phil
