My '87 9kT used to do a similar thing. Every time the revs would drop (5
speed), there was a 33% chance it would stall. The revs would ALWAYS
drop to 500RPM. Sometimes, just the A/C going on or off would kill it if
I was stopped at a light. The local Saab garage put in a used throttle
dashpot. Now it runs 99% of the time (still stalls on occasion). I also
had new plugs & a new dist. cap & rotor put in. Now, I'm in the process
of debugging a used fuel injection computer put in after the old goat
let me sit.

Mine never worked...too many non-SAABs on PA. roads to do a constant
speed anyway.

Mine don't work either. I have the ugly feeling it involves removing
panels and using tiny, 'angel hands' to reach 'em. Ugh! Let me know what
you find - the '86 9kT 'loaner' I've borrowed have has a working
display...kinda' cool. One of my two tachometer lights are out too.

'87 9000 Turbo, 'KemoSAABee', 216k, original turbo & timing chain,
loving the cooler temps (look out Mustang GT! coming through Integra
GS-R! Yee-hah!! whooOOSH!...Geez, I'd be downright dangerous in a
Viggen, huh?)
