That's utter nonsense!
A sample size of one is meaningless.
I've had two Saabs - my '78 99Turbo, and my '86 900S.
The Turbo kept me broke fixing it in general. This was due to the fact that I
got some use out of the boost limiter ;-) PLus, I swear that the cylinder
head was made by Lucas ;-). I wen through 3 cylinder heads in 149K miles,
which is just about 50K/each.
My '86 just passed 300K, and the engine has never been opened, and still
pushes 180+ PSI on every cylinder, and gives me 28+ MPG.

So, my two experiences are that the cylinder heads on Saasb either last ~50K,
or last forever, take your choice.

PS: I took pictures of the odometer rolling over at 300K, too bad there's not
a picture gallery on TSN.
