Idle RPM

Hello (again), Saab friends,
I told you recently about my car's (900 8v) problem keeping the idle rpm. I
have now 'further investigated' the problem, and it looks like this: When I
start the car (cold), everything is just fine, idle rpm is about 1000 . I
think the starting automatic keeps it there, right? Then, after a minute or
so, the (idle) rpm begins to vary between ca. 350 and ca. 950. It almost
makes the engine die at stop lights sometimes. Driving is a little
difficult, as the engine stutters at low speed when I´m not accelerating.
The temperature won't go up to it's normal position, and switching on the
heating results in an immediate drop, nearly to cold. It is cold here, yes,
about 0 °C. This lasts for about a quarter of an hour, then the problem
mysteriously (?) disappears. Well, a little up and down is normal (940 -
970 or so), is this correct? I don't feel too good, driving my car under
these conditions...
