My $0.02 - find a new dealer.. as part of the 10,20,30,etc k mile 'safety
inspection' they are supposed to remove the tire and check the spare's
pressure. Of course if you cheap out on the service and skip the safety
inspection, then they burden remains with you.

An unbelieveable design faux pas, IMO! No wonder they never get checked!
(even though it IS in the shop manuals to check these during routine
service). But you *can* (and I have) purchase a flexible extention,
designed for attaching to the inner wheel of 'Dual tire' axles, which
allows you to check the pressure
without removing the wheel.
