Assuming this is a 5-speed...

The main warning sign of the transmission failing is the needle in the
dashboard marked 'turbo'.  If it's often heading into the red in 1st or 2nd
gear, the transmission will need rebuilding in the 100,000 to 150,000 mile
range (since the last time, that is) when the pinion bearing bites the
dust.    Another is  how fast the shift lever moves between gears - if it
moves very fast, the synchros will eventually bite the dust.

The automatic transmissions - that's more a question of keeping the fluid
changed regularly and the band adjustment set right.

Turbochargers will often last until the owner either stops changing the oil
often enough or routinely shuts it off 'hot'.

As for the other maintenance you have performed - nothing there seems out
of the ordinary, and you're gettng what would be considered excellent
service for any make of car!
