NINES #252 is at the printers and will mailing soon. Below is the table of
contents:

Features
Engines at the North American International Auto Show by Stephen Goldberger.
Both the Saab booth and the GM pavilion had interesting cut-away engines on
display. We demonstrate how Saab engineers had an important role in
designing the GM Global 4 engine, and how GM's manufacturing capability and
their own engine experience mean that the Global 4 is an improvement over the
current Saab 4 cylinder engine.

Lost Foam Casting by Gary Stottler. An art derived from the classical 'lost
wax' casting process used to make jewelry and precious metal statues, lost
foam casting makes aluminum parts both better and cheaper. Gary Stottler
describes how it is done.

Alaska Racing Team Wins 2001 Thunderbird Rally Historic Class by Satch
Carlson. Satch Carlson's descriptive and humorous writing takes you inside
this TSD rally. This story alone is worth a year's subscription to NINES!

Historical Rally Instruments by Satch Carlson. A companion piece to the
Rally story.
