The cooling fan on my 1993 SAAB 9000CSE quit working. I traced the problem
down to a resistor that is pop riveted to the fan shroud. This resistor
used to be part of the fan assembly and was not sold as a separate part. A
service bulletin from SAAB was issued showing that the resistor can now be
purchased As a separate part (Part Number 43 95 034) . I called the SAAB
parts department and was shocked to discover that this .22 Ohm resistor
sells for $159.00 !!!!!!! Has anyone else figured out a more Economical
fix for this problem ?? A copy of the service bulleting with pictures etc.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Richard
