Howdy everyone.  I'm happy to say that my 900 successfully made the journey
to Kerhonkson and back despite its dying turbo....it was definately worth
the trip to meet some groovy Saab folks and see so many of their beloved
cars.  Btw, are the group photos going to be posted online?

And on to the question..please forgive me if my terminology is bad: I'm
helping a friend with her '85 900 8V and found that the Freqency valve
makes no sound so I'm assuming it doesn't work.  It is getting voltage from
the computer but I have no idea what sort of voltage I should see there;
fairly constant?  10volts?.  The oxygen sensor has already been replaced.
 Following the troubleshooting in the Bently manual, I'm led to beleive
that either the valve or the computer is faulty.  I have a running '87
8valve for parts...I could hear the valve working in it.  I transferred
this part to the '85 but no luck.  I tried the computer from the '87 and
got the same voltage at the valve. So I'm stuck...did the valve from the
'87 get damaged during removal?  Is the computer from the '87 not
compatible?
Any insight would be much appreciated.
