Probably goop in the ignition switch. Try applying liberal amounts of
Kroil or (a poor second) WD-40. Tread carefully here, however. If the
switch jams in the start position, you stand a good chance of at least
burning out your starter. Voice of experience here: my wife took her
900S to one of those 'spray industrial-strength Armor-All all over
everything' detailing places, and they sprayed a bunch of the crap in
the ignition switch which caused it to jam. CHING-CHING -- $280 for a
new starter, which the slimeballs would not cover. Moral: stay away from
'Ming Treatment' detailing centers, and tell you spouse to do the same !
