Overfilling Engine Oil and Clutch Fluid

I experimented overfilling the engine oil level upto 'a in the max'
after replacing chains, hoping longer life in the future. Immediately
after that oil started to leak through the crankshaft seal, I thought
the new seal wasn't sitting well and thought I'd have to re-install it.
I have been watching the oli level and noticed, however, that the leak
stopped once oil level was down to max. Now I'm wondering, has the seal
seated itself and stopped the leak or is an exceptionally good sealing
condition required if the engine is overfilled.

Finally I replaced the clutch fluid. I struggled a bit but the bike
innertube techinque worked quite well for pressurizing the system.
Performance improved a lot as friction was reduced while the old dark
brown fluid was replaced with fresh one.
Just one tip: once you run out of fluid and the system is full of air,
don't press the clutch pedal!
