Self Centering

I've been driving my wife's 1994 C900 convertible for the last few days when
she's been in LA visiting our son Dan. I've noticed that the steering
doesn't have a strong (hell, any) self centering. Is this just a matter of
alignment or 'they all do that?'

I was turning right the other day pulling out of a parking lot. Suddenly I
was distracted by a bird doing something to my head and the car almost drove
into the curb.

Any suggestions?

(Hey, better the head than the seats or floor mats - all I had to do was
take a long HOT shower and SHAMPOO!)
