9-3 Stereo

I currently have a 2001 9-3 cd player head unit. Unfortunately, I can't
listen to my iPod in my car w/o using one of those horrible fm transmitters.
I really don't want to get an after market stereo because of the way i have
my phone system integrate. Therefore, I'm looking for other possible
solutions.

I was looking for used 9-3 cassette decks and ran into a used 9-5 combo
cd/cassette deck. It seems that the 95 unit is slightly taller than the 93
unit, but I was wondering if it is possible to remove the cupholder and
install it anyway. Does anyone know if the 9-5 head unit will work with the
9-3.

Just curious,
- Rob
