The pictogram on the early 9000s was too sensitive. Bulbs from different
manufacturers or with worn contacts can cause the problem. Saab issued a
service bulletin to correct the problems. 86,87 and 88 cars were covered.
In our shop we make sure the bulletin has been performed, change the rear
bulbs with quality bulbs all of the same manufacturer, and run a ground
wire to equalize the resistance side to side for the rear assemblies. See
