First, if the knobs were lost in the car, they have to be
there somewhere (unless you were traveling through a gravity
anomaly, or you vacuumed since then). You may have to lift
up the carpet to find them or look in various odd spaces in
the dash, on the console, or under the seats. Check the back
seat area, too. I have a feeling that finding the old ones,
difficult as it may seem, would be easier than finding
replacements.

Next, try contacting Clarion. They had an exchange service
for Saab radios and may have taken in one that cannot be
repaired. Perhaps they have knobs in their junk bin.

Next, if the shafts have a slot in the middle and a knurled
edge, you may be able to find buttons designed for an old
fachioned clock radio that will fit. You might want to
check what they have at Radio Shack.

Rasio Shack also sells black plastic heat-shrink tubing that
you could fit over the shaft and heat with a blow dryer (be
careful not to heat the radio too much). You need a very
small size of tubing. It will shrink over the shaft. You
can then cut it to the desired length, forming a makeshift
knob. Last, expensive, resort: Get either the knobs from a
broken radio or a whole new unit from a junkyard.
