Running Hot

Okay, let me say right up front that I'm in Dallas and the temp has been
over 100 degrees most of the summer. Recently, it's been in the 105-107
range. So if the answer is obvious, I apologize. But I've had more than the
usual amount of trouble with my 1992 92S overheating, and I want to make
sure this is normal for this kind of weather.

My car has been running hot - not in the red, but about 3/4 of the way
ABOVE the half-way mark. The fan seems to be working okay (at least it
keeps running when I turn the motor off) and, of course, I have the a/c on
and the fan for that seems to be okay, too. My concern is due to the fact
that the temp doesn't change when I get up speed, such as on the freeway.
Normally, even if I've been stopped for awhile and the temp rises, it cools
down as soon as I get going a bit.

So what do you SAAB-ites think? Am I being paranoid? Thanks. (If I am, you
can just tell me so in a private mail instead of pestering the list.)

Lynnie
