My '86 is doing the same. It is normal.
I used to get 400 miles to a tank (450 if I wanted to push it).
That's all highway driving (and some at slightly illegal speeds).
It's down to about 325 miles to a tank.
I asked my mechanic, and he basically asked me how much money I wanted to
invest in a 14 year old car with 288K.
New injectors, new valves, rebuild the cylinder head.
Thank Ghu that the pistons still push 180+PSI on each cylinder.
He did tell me of an interesting effect, though.
Carbon can build up on the valves, and absorb fuel.
This is not only bad for fuel economy, but bad for emissions. It'll kill
the cat. And perhaps make you flunk the next inspection.

Thankfully, we don't have things like emissions inspections here in New
Hampshire. The 'Live Free or Die' state.
