I have an 84, and until recently would rarely go over 50% boost (in
yellow), and then only momentarily. We tried everything you did.
Today it can/will maintain 80%+ boost (in yellow). What's different:
a lot of new rubber. Swing arm bushings, shock bushings (car still
has stock shocks), a new ball joint that had slight play, I believe at
least one new motor mount and a warped rim which was replaced. I
perceived a slight improvement after each, but it was the ball joint
that really did it. My mech raised his eyebrows when I told him about
the ball joint.
