Hi Folks, I would appreciate any help you can give me with this problem.
About a week ago my 87 9000 Turbo starting running poorly, stalling,
black smoke etc. At first I thought it might be a stuck injector but I
removed the sparkplug to each cylinder in sequence in an attempt to
discover the offending injector. The black smoke did not cease. I
checked for a clogged air filtre and ruled that out. Removing a plug on
a vacuum inlet to allow more air in improved running. The fuel pressure
regulator seems to be operating properly. Could an oxygen sensor
malfunction make such a dramatic difference in the mixture? This car
was, prior to this mischance, a beautiful running auto. Again, I greatly
appreciate any suggestions you can give me. Thank you.
