Buying a Used Saab

I am likely to have the oppurtunity to purchase a 1985 900 SPG (first year
they made them) and I am trying to get a handle on what would be a fair
price since these are something that being special/rare is hard to look up
in conventional price books.

I haven't really gone over it yet with a fine tooth comb, but in a nutshell
the car is a good shape. The major items things that make an SPG an SPG
seem to be intact, side skirts, SPG rims, turbo in fine shape, and this guy
has taken car of the engine, turbo, and even has had it worked on to 'tweak
it up' a bit, so it definitely is the performance car an SPG is meant to
be.

Of the more superficial things, paint is good but not original paint. It
was repainted but still black and the paint looks better than the oxidized
paint on my 88 900S. Interior looks fine with the exception of the driver's
seat, but I don't really care about a beat up driver's seat, just that in
general the interior is good. Actually as a plus I did notice the headliner
(unlike my 1988) is in GREAT shape which is rare for an 85.

So anyway, I wanted to get everyone's opinions of what they think would be
a fair price for a car like this. I don't mean what would YOU pay for it if
you were trying to get a bargain. I mean if you had to put a fair market
price (ballpark of course) price in general on a 1985 900 SPG that is in
good shape for its age, what price would you choose?
