Re: Removing Brake Disks

I borowed my neighbour's electric impact wrench to do some similar work
a while back. Took two minutes to loosen a nut after spending hours with
different torches, lubricant, lots of tugs on a wrench... Bought one
right after that.

Since then I've learned: don't even bother wrenching at it - just use an
impact wrench (for those hard-to-break suspension bolts etc.)

So, get a 1/2'-drive #3 phillips bit to go on the end of an impact
wrench and whammo! it's off.

I don't know about the press to remove the rotors, but I'm doubting it.
The ones I've worked on slide off of the lug bolts which are attached to
the bearing (it stays in place) which is bolted on to the spindle
(rotors and bearings are separate).

Good luck,
-chris
