I've looked for cold start problems in the FAQ, but I'm not entirely
convinced they're the same as mine. Perhaps one of you could recommend a
logical progression of diagnostics.

When I first acquired this car (2 years ago), it started fine, but ran
poorly (underpowered, some missing) until completely warmed up. Although
I mostly do my own work, I took the car to a local import shop to have
it diagnosed. Alas, they changed spark plugs, advised me to seal up the
distributor cap, and called it better. A few months later, it suddenly
became difficult to start, basically requiring a foot on the gas until
it was substantially warmed up. It now does not fire evenly until
completely warmed up, even when not under load.

Thoughts, comments? Thanks in advance,
