I noticed in the Test that they perfomed, that the SAAB's seat in the
9-5 was almost 100% up to the dash, little room between the driver and
dash/wheel-

It is uterly insane to test a crash in a seating positin that isn't
exhibited when driving. The SAAB seats move extra forward to allow room
for back seat access to the underside of the seat, i.e. to pull out the
mat or to get to one's purse or wallet if it were to fall. NOBODY drives
while their knees are 2 inches away from the DASH!

With this in mind, I Think the SAAB did better in its crash than the
testing firm showed.
