Your car features the ATE anti-lock system. Upon startup, the system
undergoes a self-test and the ABS pump pressurizes an accumulator. The
anti-lock light stays on until the self test is successfully completed and
the pressure has reached its proper operating range. This takes from 10 to
30 seconds in most cases, the time depending mainly on how far down the
pressure has dropped.

You should flush the brake fluid every year with DOT 4 fluid. Beyond that,
there is no other special maintenance required or possible. Don't neglect
the fluid changes ... ABS brake components are very expensive ... a failed
ABS system would make a transmission rebuild seem like a bargain.
