Serpentine Belt

My '92 9000 with 160K miles threw its serpentine belt 100 miles from home
last weekend.  The local repair shop that I had perform the repair replaced
the power steering pump that had come apart and was presumably the culprit
and the idler assembly.  After they got everything back together they
realized that the belt was oscillating terribly and subsequently found that
the crank pulley was probably the real culprit.  The pulley consists of two
concentric parts that are held together with an elastomer.  The adhesion
seems to have failed allowing the outer part to get cocked and wobble.  1.5
years ago I replaced the idler assembly belt when the belt went a mere 60
miles from home.  I'm presuming that the crank pulley was bad then as well.
Note I don't drive this car much so 1.5 years is only a couple thousand
miles.

The guys who did this latest repair mentioned something about a TSB
concerning this pulley issue but I couldn't find an obvious one by searching
titles on alldata.com.  I'm slightly annoyed with my regular mechanic for not
finding the real problem the first time and more importantly if the pulley
should not have failed like this I'd like to get SaabUSA involved since it
has caused a lot of expense and suffering.  Then again it does have 160K
miles on it.

Anyone have any comments or iformation? Do I have a leg to stand on or is it
just bad luck?
